Welcome to the Bampton Town Council website

This site is primarily for Council business. If you would like to know a little more about the town and what is going on in the area please visit the Bampton Town Website.

Bampton Town Council is co ordinating a team of community street wardens to help everyone during this time of social distancing.
These wardens are happy to facilitate those on their “patch” to help with shopping, urgent supplies and medicines, post and phone calls.
We are all part of the same “community of circumstance” and in helping each other, we can create safe, social bonds that may minimise loneliness and fear.
You may need some help yourself, or you may wish to help.
If you would like to be involved, please email “clerk@bamptontowncouncil.gov.uk” OR:
Ring Barney and Esme Hopkinson on 01398 331611.
If you are already involved in a similar community scheme, please let us know so that we can all work together.
Please continue to check the Bampton Town Council noticeboards or Facebook page for current situations regarding meetings.

TRANSPORT FOR KEY WORKERS

Due to the reduction of bus services across the county, Devon County Council are trialling an on-demand subsidised taxi service for Devon residents for key workers accessing employment only.

This service is intended to replace those journeys which were previously made by bus - a subsidised flat fare will be charged.

Requests can only be made by email and should be sent to devonbus@devon.gov.uk

Please include the following information in your email:

NAME, ADDRESS, KEY WORKER STATUS, EMPLOYER / PAYROLL REF

JOURNEY REQUIREMENTS (pick up/drop off)

We will aim to respond to all requests as soon as possible during normal office hours – journeys should be booked 48 hours in advance of travel.
